When it comes to Father’s Day teddy bears, we’re all at a bit of a loss. Some of us feel as if maybe a teddy bear isn’t macho enough for our dads or maybe they won’t like it. Or maybe there isn’t really much of a selection at your local stores so you’ve decided to check online. So the question is—what are the pros and cons of buying your Father’s Day teddy bears online?

First of all, before we get into the pros and cons, your dad isn’t too macho for a teddy bear. Even if he acts really macho, chances are that he loves it and will probably keep it close to him as long as he can. They only act macho—most of them are really just big softies.

Pros:

1. You don’t have to go anywhere.

Maybe you’re sick right before Father’s Day or perhaps you’re swamped at work and you only have a fifteen minute lunch break because you absolutely have to get something done. In this case, you can hop on your computer on your lunch break and order the bear that way. Or you can take two lunch breaks—one to examine what kinds of bears you can choose from and then one to actually buy the bears.

2. You have a wider selection.

You aren’t limited to whatever is at the local market. You have far more options than you would at, say, your local pharmacy. Instead, you can simply check online and find stores that have ten times as many Father’s Day teddy bears to choose from.

3. You can have it delivered straight to their door.

You don’t have to worry about losing the bear in the process. Instead, have it shipped straight to your dad’s house and voila! You don’t lose it, the bear gets there intact, and your mom and dad probably won’t even know what it is!

Cons:

1. The package could get lost.

This is unfortunately a very likely problem and also a very problematic one. Let’s face it—could it get any worse? You have something special for them—you pick it out JUST for them…and then it doesn’t arrive. Most of the time, your dad isn’t going to get angry at you for not getting them something, but if you didn’t have time to call, it’s at least a reminder that you remembered. If all else fails, call him to ask if he got his special gift, just in case.

2. It can be a little bit more expensive.

It’s not normally much more expensive, however. But if you’re short on money, you may not find anything within your budget. Normally, it’s cheaper than buying a gallon of gas and the bear to ship, but it all depends on your location and a variety of other things.

3. You may not know what to get.

The various options may get a little bit overwhelming. You may not know what to pick when choosing your Father’s Day teddy bears. On the other hand, you could find a great deal!
